What fuzz is stable temp wise and not too bassy?

I like fuzz but the temperature problems and bloated bass just piss me off. I have an Analogman Peppermint fuzz and even though it sounds killer it's basicaly unusable during the summer. I want something with the sweetness of Germanium but w/o the bloated bass or temperature issues. Anything at all out there?

Here's things I have tried - Fulltone 70's (sucked), SoulBender (too harsh), Throbak Stone Bender (good one), Lumpy's Tone Bender (great until you lowered the volume then kind of weird), Analogman Sunface (too tubby but great roll back), Peppermint fuzz (my favorite but too unstable), and many more...

that's not stable temp wise...when it gets hot it isn't fuzzy as much as soggy from belly sweat!

Only germanium fuzzes are fussy about temperature, Lovepedal 200lbs is nice

I like some of fulltone's stuff. it generally is really pretty fucking good. I still sold the soul bender, for exactly the same reason harry mentions, too harsh and it turned to meh in a hot room/sun...it was my first experience with germanium, and the nkt275's in the soul bender were just mush when it got hot, far worse than 0c75's, which i use now. probably my fave tran type, and it hasnt been an issue really with heat

...the nkt275 issue i had with the soul bender kept me from chasing the analogman fuzz as i expect it'd have the same issue, and wtf, the nkt is not the real TB trannie

...so i got a TB with an impedance control, made per my spec desires, to help negate the heated germanium issue, but i tell ya, that really didn't help so much, and i didn't like that the pedal cause it needed a boost in front of it to make it happen...

You'd really like the Guzz as well...ETI stuff is super pricey, but it's stable and doesn't need anything in front to help it out.

I don't think Bill even has a website...to order his pedals you have to get a referral from someone and lay down a hefty deposit. It's a new phenom of Uber-Boutique...if you've never heard of it, you aren't allowed to buy it.
